Honestly I’d love this trade for Vancouver. Don’t know much about Abruzzese but Niemela and a first + is great return for Miller. Kerfoot might be a decent 3C and it’s nice to have a hometown boy. I feel like this is a very realistic Miller trade

I think you’d have to switch the retention so the money is even, and the Canucks may want a better piece than Abruzzese and the 3rd because of retention/not saving cap space. It’s not the worst offer though

Niemela is a high end prospect. Him Kerfoot and a 1st for 50% retention is very good value.

this is a solid return though you might have to loosen the retention depending on Poolmans health. Good job

It is a very solid return, I could just see the Canucks trying to get a bit more though

They won't get more.

You're getting a VERY high end RHD prospect, which Vancouver fans lament the lack of. You also get a 2023 1RD, 2023 3rd (that MORE than covers Miller's value). Kerfoot is to make salary work and with Abruzzese, that covers retention.

That being said, I don't think a Miller trade is worth it for the Leafs at this point. He's too expensive and the risk is way too high for a rental. This is a trade that should have been done last deadline.

Liljegren would have to be the main piece coming back to VAN.
