Sorry for not trading a guy who scores, skates, hits and kills penalties for a pile of garbage.

    Drouin

It would probably cost one of your young defensive prospects and you are loaded with them. I doubt Carlo or McAvoy but possibly Zboril. I think the deal would be centered around something like that. I don't see Buffalo and Boston making a major trade with eachother though

Ya 95% of Boston fans wouldn't be interested either lol. Happy that the feels are mutual on this.

A top prospect for 1 year of a guy whose been (over the last 3 years) as offensively productive as Ryan Spooner? I'd swap Spooner straight up or offer a 2nd rounder for Kane, but that's about it.

Exactly, Sabres fans are delusional with the price for Kane. He's not much better than Spooner and way more expensive.

He brings the same offense to the table, but also brings a whole other element to the game as a big hitting, elite forechecking forward. I dont get why people always just wreck Kanes value. Spooner i believe could be a top-6 C but is just stuck behind Bergy and Krejci. Comparing Kane to a 3C that should be a 2C and calling him no better then a third liner is a little unfair imo

Even with all that, he's a UFA at the end of next season. He's not going to fetch the return that most Sabres fans seem to think. His off ice behavior is a red flag to most and for a team like Boston (who traded Seguin for off-ice issues) he's not worth much. Again I'd give you Spooner straight up or a 2nd rounder. Anything more than that is not worth it to the organization. At least with Spooner BUF is getting a RFA whose been held back by a defensive style system. Put him on the PP with Eichel and they'd probably terrorize teams.

I can respect that, his off-ice stuff is annoying but not all of it is his fault. He seems to be getting better. The UFA stuff is true, I just don't see Buffalo making the Spooner and pick though. I also just don't think we are great trade partners. Kane is built well for a Western team and a team like the Ducks or Kings would benefit greatly from having him. And those teams make a little more sense asset wise

I don't disagree about us not being good trading partners. At the end of the day though, he's not going to fetch this return that most Sabres fans think he will.

Lauzon + 2nd is already too much for headcase Kane lol.... "Pile of garbage" = Zero knowledge of the players. Your opinion is null-and-void.
