Leafs leafs dubas do something

Description
I’m a leafs fan and I love them, i think they could pass the first round this year.

Don’t tell me well Sandin is going to get offer sheeted. I don’t think he is, he probably would’ve got offer sheeted like what’s the hold up?

Remember when nylander got signed in November, so maybe this is the case where sandin gets signed late

I paired up mete and Gio together because why not, to me it just looks like an interesting pair and I’d watch them and it could work.

So you make room to sign Sandin then trade him for a second? Why?

Well yeah, if Toronto can’t sign him then I’d trade him but if this like a nylander situation then I would wait it out

I know, I forgot to change it, made the gm team before the trade and signing, a made it about a week ago. Just didn’t post it yet. I’ll probably change it to Winnipeg

If dubas could’ve done that, he would’ve by now. It costs value for teams to take on cap, and in some cases (like the leafs), it costs value regardless of their talent. Especially Kerfoot and Holl. That sandin offer, Ottawa accepts tho

I think the Leafs would Waive Holl before they would attach any assets to him in a trade. He would be claimed 100% and would cost us nothing. Floor teams would love a guy that makes two mil and can bring back a pick at the TDL. I also do not believe the would but worst case they could also do the same with Kerfoot as he only makes 750,000 in real money this season.

I believe if anyone wanted holl for free, the leafs wouldn’t have hesitated and took the first chance they got to get rid of him. Kerfoot on the other hand had a great season, but his value isn’t there bc the leafs are cap strapped bc nobody wants to help them out. I believe those two are worth those picks, probably more for kerfoot, but in a flat cap world and in the leafs situation, their value has dropped astronomically. Dubas NEEDS to clear cap and it’s getting close to the season. He would’ve taken anything for holl imo. But the opportunity hasn’t been there. Also I doubt dubas wants to sell low on kerfoot bc he had a great season. Their value is their value bc of the flat cap and bc nobody is gonna voluntarily help the leafs
