Put Flyers over the cap without LTIR flexibility since they lose Ellis and a 5.6M 3rd pairing D doesnt do anything for them (Muzzin wouldnt play above Sanheim or Provo)

Flyers literally cannot do this

Also puts the Sabres back under the cap floor so I dont see them doing this either

Helps the Leafs, makes problems for the other 2 teams

I'd say philly gets atleast a 2nd, possibly a B prospect aswell from the leafs. Leafs may also have to hold 50% of Holl here for sabres cap

Otherwise not bad

Buffalo will barely be above the cap floor with Bishops contract. Removing that and adding Holl puts them below the floor. They have the Bishop contract because it doesn't take up a slot on the active roster, so saying oh just sign another player doesn't work for them because they want the kids playing.

Not sure of Flyer’s LTIR situation, whether Couturier is on it? Thought they’d at least consider ridding themselves of Ellis’ term versus only 2yrs of Muzzin remaining.

Realized this move put them below the floor, but by less than 21K… so they’d need to add a minimum league contract. Perhaps Leafs add Joey Anderson.

If these moves went through, it would leave $4,798,551 for the Leafs to re-sign Sandin - rid the LHD roadblock; and sign additional cheap F depth or cheap RHD depth with the remainder for this year. As long as they secured Bishop for his LTIR status.

Yes, I’m a Habs fan… but I also cheer for the Leafs! Imagine that!! Besides, I’m the original poster… just looking for hockey dialogue. If you’re interested, Bourque and Neely some of my fav Bruins. Currently, Bergeron. Always was curious what would’ve become of the Senators if they chose to invest in Chara over Redden? And if the Bruins would’ve ever become as competitive without Rask or Chara.
