Seattle doesnt have a spot for Barrie on the right side with signing Schultz. Kulak is also very unproven playing the right side, so pass on defensive experiments at this point if they are suppose to be in "contending/all in" years.

Isles decline. They have too many forwards on one way contracts as it is.

Handedness isn't as important if the pairing has chemistry. Kulak - Soucy can do both RD-LD with one being offence orientated and Soucy the Defensive player. Broberg can do full time RD as well. Another play is:
    Nurse-Ceci
    Kulak-Bouchard
    Soucy-Broberg

What evidence do u have that Broberg, who hasnt played full time LHD NHL minutes yet is now ready to play full time NHL minutes on his offside??

I understand he's played on his offside throughout his professional career, both in SHL and, to a lesser extent, AHL. He says he's pretty comfortable there.

Time will tell i guess, but i would still rather have a natural right shot defensive dman for that spot than an experiment at this point.
Im still convinced Barrie stays this entire upcoming season, they move him next summer & go after a free agent like Mayfield or Gudas.
