2 completely polar trades, Rangers definitely loose the first one but Toronto gets fleeced in the 2nd one

From Toronto's perspective, I understand why you'd like to wrap up all of your problems in one nice package and send them into the desert, but I'd be willing to bet dollars to doughnuts that Arizona is on both Kerfoot's and Holl's ten-team no-trade lists. That's what's going to make them so difficult to move. And I think that the only way you can move Sandin is if there's some pre-negotiation over a new contract for him, because I doubt that a team would take him on if his demand is going to turn out to be a deal-breaker.

his demand isnt money though, he is looking for a garneted roster spot for the season, which i dont blame him.

one thing about keef that bothers me is he really likes who he likes and when he tries something new, at the first sight of any issues he says it doesnt work and goes back to his typical lines and doesnt seem to have any interest in trying again. I find a lot of other teams take some risk with young players in their system, i havent really seen the leafs do any of that which makes it hard to see what you have.

Leafs dont have any leverage since RD are already of wide interest league wide. You can't fleece NYR here, best you can do is a fair offer that's better than what every other interested team offers and this isn't close
