If we are gonna keep our captain, 8 mil per year won’t be the price. We’d have to let him walk for that kind of money. I’d think we’d max out at 6 per for 5 years or something like that.

After what JT Miller got , I can’t see him getting that low AAV . He might get less term but the AAV could be higher . He’s like 3 years younger than Malkin. Palat got 6

Prediction: if Bergeron retires after 2022-23 season, BOS will be after ROR to replace him, and willing to offer decent amount of cash to make it happen.
