I would be both excited and furious as it's definitely intriguing, but I think we're much more likely to find a Nylander level winger in a farm system than a Spurgeon level dman. Keep Spurge, who likely wouldn't waive anyways and you have the best shot at the cup when the buyouts pass

Spurgeon plays a style of the game that will likely continue to age well, he wears the C for reason and again, I think his replacement would be harder to find than a Nylander level winger.

That Guerin deserves to be fired. Nylander isn't worth spurgeon alone. Nylander is a free agent in two years and will seek 11 mil or little less but because of his agent, wouldn't put it past Nylander. Nylander is also worse than fiala defense wise and more turnover prone who dean Evason clashed with. Guerin would Never deal with Nylander's agent.

He said Nylander so many times my head started spinning.

"Nylander is also worse than Nylander defense wise" is still making my head spin.

I think you meant Fiala? But that is demonstrably not true, Nylander > Fiala, offensively + defensively.
Finding a ppg winger that can score 35+ goals is harder than you seem to think squinty smile .
Plus Leaf’s have Reilly signed to long term deal so no room for spurgeon; I just don’t see a fit on either side.

Minnesota let fiala go for not only cap purposes . Guerin and Dean Evason dislike player's who won't play on. Defense, and turnover prone. They also won't negotiate with agents wanting lots of money for their player's. Evident by Talbot, fiala trade and others. Both declines, but Minnesota more so. Nylander is a free agent in two years. His agent will ask for money he's not worth

Fiala just school more than 83 points and was let go

"Guerin would never deal with Nylander's agent", well, Conor Sheary signed a deal with Pittsburgh while Guerin was there, and weird concept, they have the same agent.

Do you have any idea who in a front office negotiates the major leg work of deals, including for high profile players, I.E. when Kaprizov signed? I'll give you a hint, its not the GM

Matt and others, but at end of day, it's Guerin who gives his approval. So yes, it still runs through Guerin

Completely and utterly contradictory of your statement that he would never deal with Nylander's agent, also, you think the president of the team is doing the contract negotiations????

At the end of the day. He's complete power given to him by Minnesota wild ownership to essentially make the organization, team his which started by removing Parise and suter.

As for Nylander's agent: I meant same with Fiala and Talbot. He doesn't like dealing with demanding, give me this, or my client will seek a trade, walk, etc..
