Not going to be any interest in that from Arizona’s side. They’ll get the hayton contract done, there’s zero chatter they’re looking to move him

Hayton is a young player that could turn into a star. Why would Arizona trade him when you know he’s going to be a part of their future. He’s also not getting near 950K IMO.

his leverage is he will wait until his rights are moved. Teams will want him and know Arizona will want to move on.

They’ll want to move on from a guy they see as key to their middle 6 now and the future? That’s just wishful thinking. Either someone pays up with a first, or they settle on something similar to what zadina just got. Kaut, lundkvist in New York, those guys aren’t moving the needle and it’s not what they want. The org sets it’s price and sticks to it, just look at chychrun if you’d like to see an example
