Normally I'd agree but Larkin becomes a free agent comes back to Detroit after the playoffs. So I think it's a fair rental price especially since Larkin will return with playoff experience.

Rent him out like a piece of farm equipment? Not how you treat your Captain.

Landy is a fine player. He's the captain sure but he's the 4th (5th?) best player on this team and the Avs werent much before then. He surely didn't lead them to the Cup haha.

HOF is quite ambitious. I dont like retiring numbers for the sake of retiring numbers. That's a serious honor.

Just because we're in an era of greatness doesn't take away from what Landy has done. He had over a point per game in the playoffs and scored 11 goals. I never said he would make the HOF, although if you go to E.P, his hardware might get him in down, down the road. Captain of Avs and Team Sweden, 2 W.C golds, OG-Silver, Stnly.Cup and Calder. He will need some more cups but its not that ambitious. This is the easiest HOF to get into in the big 4.

throw retention on larkin and it's good to go.

not a fan of watson or pysyk but the value seems fine.

laugh Retention on Larkin would cost Newhook and 2 1st round picks, Colorado can't afford Larkin long term as he's looking for around $9,5000,000 to $10,000,000 per long term.

Sorry but Detroit's not trading their Captain for worthless garbage like this. You want Larkin even as a rental it starts with Newhook+2 1st round picks at $3,050,000. Or we pass not a bunch of worthless scrubs.

larkin doesnt have the term left on his contract to command newhook and a 1st

Wrong, At $3,050,000 Larkin is easily worth Newhook and a 1st, Besides it's irrelevant as Larkin isn't available.

laugh AVS can't afford Larkin long term, So Yzerman isn't dealing him to Colorado. If Yzerman deals him it will be for a sign and trade and bigger package. Not for scraps.

nah. no rental gets that just look at past deadlines. he'll get a 1st and a good prospect but he wont get a player like newhook. taylor hall or giroux trades would probably be the best semi-recent comparable.
