Why is Pageau on the fourth line?

Because Parise fits better with Bellows and Raty

Aside from the fact that raty probably doesmt make the team. In his 1st season JGP will be head and shoulders above him.

Of course Raty won’t make the team, the isles do not care about winning

That’s not likely, Pageau is an extremely mediocre bottom 6 player during the regular season. Ratys D+1 was identical to Anton Lundell who had a 2nd line impact in a 3rd line role last season

He was very good in the second half. He did have wrist surgery tho so make sure to hold that against him lol.

Wtf are you smoking pageau was bad during the regular season. He is consistently one of the isles' best forwards.

If Raty makes the team it’s going to be at wing. And if he’s playing wing they should just put him with Barzy anyway.

He was in favor of trading Pageau for futures earlier

Best forwards? Lmao cmon I know Pageau is a likable guy but he is not one of the isles best forwards. He’s a defensive minded winger who’s an offensive blackhole at 5v5. Decent on the powerplay. He’s like the 6th best forward on the isles

Almost any smart GM would trade a 30 YO 3C for futures. Sakic , yzerman. They’d do it in a heartbeat. The only people who agree with you are old hockey men stuck in the 90s

That’s pretty doubtful Lmao. Btw Tampa bay lost their five million dollar third line center and they lost in the finals. It isn’t a coincidence bud.

Its amazing how you believe automatically that raty who hasnt proved a damn thing yet will for sure be good but JGP who has proven many times to be good you somehow think isnt. The delusion that follows top prospects is insane. I think raty can become a high end 2C but i dont think im delusional about the development path to get there.

I do not use jfresh, Evolving hockey is much better at isolating a player from his teammates. My point stands, he's a bottom 6 player - an average 3C. He gets a lot of ice time with the isles top players.

Most players decline after they turn 30, that's correct

at even strength pageau is below average at driving possession, generating offense and increasing the rate the isles score goals.

I recommend you read more of Jfresh’s work on his analytics model. He actually understands the limits of his own data. You worship bar graphs lol

Here’s the real issue. This dude will defend Beau to his dying breath, but he’s gonna rip into Pageau because he’s turning 30. Sometimes it seems like he doesn’t actually watch guys play, he just worships the bar graphs evolving hockey makes.

the funniest sh*t about your comment is that you clearly don't know that jfresh used to use Evolving hockey's data for his player cards until they told him not to. I know all about jfresh model.
