Obviously Stastny had a higher ceiling than Pearson when both players were in their primes, but saying Pearson isn't consistent is just wrong. I wouldn't be that comfortable with Stastny at center anymore considering his age, the same goes for Joe Pavelski in Dallas. I don't care if Stastny scored more goals, Pearson still had around the same number of points as him

Is Ondrej Kase a 4th line caliber player? No. But guess what, that’s where he’s likely to play behind Jarvis Necas and Fast.

What you don’t understand is that the only place Pearson would play on CAR is on the 4th line, thus making him a 4th line player. Not too hard to understand.

Pearson won't play behind Fast. Kase doesn't stay healthy enough to qualify as anything more than a quality 4th line player

Fast plays with Staal on the matchup line. Stastny will play LW here. Some context with how the Canes actually play might help you understand some things. It’s obvious you have none.
