don't think dermott would be the piece going back, a 3rd or retained pearson would probably be more likely

Canes pass. Dermott is not nearly as valuable as Bear. Bear is a better player, clearly. Bear is right handed, and played top pairing minutes for the canes for 25% of last year. He then had long term covid and a fractured ankle that he played through for the rest of the year. It's going to need to be a 3rd for Bear straight up to even tempt Carolina.
