Monahan might be an interesting investment if the price weren't too high. Retain one third and give us the 2024 Colorado second and we might roll those dice.

Pretty sure MTL is going to play him to attempt to increase his value and move him retained at the TDL or resign him for their own use.

They got him for that because CGY needed the cap space immediately, MTL doesn't and therefore there is no rush.
