I am interested to see what they end up getting for Patrick Kane. And guys like Domi and Athanasiou half retained at the deadline could get them some good draft capital also.

I am still confused about the Debrincat trade. I was perfectly okay with the Dach trade because I personally don't believe in him.

This is quite similar to my thoughts on the whole situation. I want to see as many players as possible getting opportunities to play a few NHL games here and there, especially guys like Isaak Phillips, Alec Regula and Michal Teply

My biggest concern is that this roster could EASILY not be bad enough.

I have always hated tanking. Im not going to be cheering every loss like I know some fans will be, I want this team to succeed and I actually think it would be hilarious if this team is significantly better than everyone expects it to be. Even if a good season costs us a chance at Bedard, ranking is overrated and I’d be totally cool if overperforming killed it

I don't like tanking either. But it is a forgone conclusion. It is already happening. So, I'm cheering for this painful tear down to be worth it in the end. They could also be good enough to increase all of their trade values and get a lot of great assets at the TDL and then tank the rest of the season for a shot at a top 3 pick. But one season of unsustainably moderate success with a bunch of aging players is not worth the future of the Blackhawks. If they are gonna do it, they might as well do it all the way.
