Description

Malgin has looked very good beside Nylander during the preseason, I believe he will probably make the roster and I doubt they'd remove him from Nylander's line if that is the case.

Kerfoot will probably be given the 3C position in this scenario as he is better than Kampf and I'm assuming they wouldn't want Robertson to be playing on the 4th line if he does make the team. So therefore Kerfoot in the 3C makes the most sense.

I could see players like Holmberg, Steeves, Abruzzese making frequent appearances in the NHL, while I'm afraid Simmonds just is not good enough to play above the AHL at this point. Of course as Muzzin inevitably gets injured, I'm sure Benn and Mete make their appearances as well, although I can almost guarantee they'll be claimed at some point.

The cap will be going up drastically in the future, but with one more year of a 1mil cap increase, this team will struggle next offseason.

Additional Details:

While I find it unlikely that Engvall is the one to be traded since he was just recently re-signed. I am beginning to find it even more unlikely that someone like Kerfoot is dealt because of his versatility and team presence. Holl is another possible candidate, but odds are we'll need him for depth reasons and his cap hit just doesn't seem to be significant enough.

I think the Jets would prefer to use Barron, Harkins or maybe Maenalanen as bottom 6 LW instead of shipping out a prospect who they just signed in April.
