I feel pretty confident in Larkin re-signing but Bertuzzi on the other hand, not as much.

Carolina as a team is known for not giving up draft picks for rentals, Sundqvist doesn't make sense, that's not a fit. Someone would do it, 100%. Not Carolina though. Rangers are probably a better fit.

Minnesota declines. They aren't paying for a rental. Nl chance you would evet get Rossi , so don't even try asking

Seems like too little for Bert. Love Oshie but probably is viewed as a cap dump at this point, and Pilon is a dime-a-dozen 4th liner. I think Detroit could get more than just a singular 1st round pick for Bertuzzi if the team they trade with is getting a full year of his production. Oshie's M-NTC likely blocks this anyway.

If they don't want to sign...meaning wanting to go the UFA route, why would other teams give up so much for a rental? Yes if it looks like they aren't going to resign and the Wings are out of the playoffs, yea trade them at TDL. Sorry, extension is usually crazy talk especially during the season. How would "dead cap Minni" fit Larkin into their cap?

T J Oshie doesn't waive for Detroit, And the trade is really bad.

The Larkin trade is even more laugh Jost is a 3rd line C at best 1st round picks are needless when Yzerman wants the team to start winning now. Larkin starts with Rossi+++ especially with an Larkin extension that Minnesota can't afford.

Minnesota lost Kevin Fiala because of their cap crunch, So how in the hell can they afford Larkin? Larkin has a full NTC no way in the hell is he waiving for Minnesota.
