Description

The real question I have here is who do you move? Duhaime, Dewar and Jost likely go into a rotation as the odd person out as is when Greenway comes back healthy - Does Jost go in a deal? The roster seems extremely full as of this moment if you are trying to bring in another forward for FC - D-man on the other hand, I could see taking someone like Holl for FC, playing Addison with Middleton and Holl on the third with either Merrill or Goligoski, all this while moving Dumba out.

The leafs can give you a 2 for 1 deal by giving you Holl and Kerfoot for FC. Or heck, if you’re sending out Dumba maybe something could be arranged.

One thing that I was toying with was if they made a legitimate offer for Nylander to give some of these young guys a chance at the roster, something with Greenway and Dumba (50% retained)as the headliner and then let the chips fall where they do elsewhere, so the leafs are trading 1 good player with roughly a $7M hit for 2 solid players (Greenway could really break out, I think Dumba is who he is, a decent second pair RD) and save $1M against the cap.

Yah I think a Nylander trade would have to be this off-season, if it happens at all. I wouldn’t mind it, but it’s not at all realistic.
