Team: 2022-23 Florida Panthers
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 3, 2022
Published: Oct. 3, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I just feel like the Panther should upgrade their D and also shed some cap, some of the trades might not be the best value wise but these are just some ideas because as of right now I don't think the Panthers have a chance to beat any of the top teams in their division but maybe with these upgrades and yes they do lose some grit but them players where getting paid way to much and now they are cap compliant and can have a full 23 man roster even can add Duclair to LTIR to have some extra space but at the same time they don't need to now because they still have some cap to call up someone if injuries happen.

If Hague was willing to sign that he would have done so in Vegas, its likely he is looking for a Whitecloud style deal.

For the Ducks to eat Hornqvist, they really don't need draft picks or center prospects, wingers or RD with high upside are what we are lacking. Maybe some of the wealth of NHL near ready RW fins you got laying around in your system.

Why take a prospect with serious injury history and a 2025 2nd? I'd rather have an Aleksi Heponiemi, Aleksi Saarela, or Matthew Samoskevich.

Yeah Hague would be looking for a contract like that but I don't think it would be there ya never know seen crazier contracts in the NHL.... maybe the contract would look more like the Sean Durzi contract 1.7 for like 2 years or something like that

and yeah it doesn't have to be the ducks just a team that would be willing to eat the cap and yeah the Panthers would most likely have to give up a bit more because most likely teams wouldn't really want eat that cap

No all he did was send a message to everyone saying he’s available. Trades don’t take 5 minutes. He’s a young LHD, he’s got value and is finally ready to crack a lineup. Loads of teams could use someone like him.

Just FYI, you can no longer make a draft pick conditional upon a player's re-signing.
