Rooney battles. You’ll love him.

He's looked very good tonight on a wing with Backlund and Coleman

The Flames targeted Rooney in UFA. He's gonna be on the team, it's not even a question.

They have tough decisions to make on D, no question. It could come down to whether or not Stone is willing to play in the AHL.

Rooney's doing okay, but I find Eakin to be better Offensively, at taking Faceoffs and at Stick Checking. Lewis is More Physical, Battles Everywhere and Brings a Right Shot and is about the same offensively and at Faceoffs as Rooney.

My thoughts were that CGY just needs to dress either Rooney or Lewis as one of them is needed for the PK, so they could share ice time, but I think Lucic & Rooney should be the ones sharing ice-time at LW now.

If we can keep and cycle them all, it''ll keep them Rested & Fresh and help them play all out every night without worrying about going down to injury affecting the Team much, since there's lots of Bottom-6 depth coverage right now

He will, because he wants to stay in Calgary (for his wife & children, I believe his wife's actually from Calgary), but if anybody deserves to be on the Team, it's Michael Stone

Valimaki is the clearest & easiest guy to send down first and I don't see needing Sonny Milano or him making the Team tbh

Valimaki isn't going to be on the team, neither is Milano. Neither have really made a strong case for the job.

On merit, Stone should be on the team. Unfortunately, the Flames really like Meloche, they did give him a contract on day one of UFA.

Sutter should consider using both Stone & Meloche OR moving Stone to the Wing on the 4th Line

Stone wouldn’t be able to keep up with the pace of the game as a forward. Meloche probably can’t either. They’re D and that’s likely to continue.

The Flames have some tough decisions to make this week.

I think Stone could do it on short bursts = 4th line TOI, but Meloche is best left as a Defenseman for sure
