Ya know he's looked pretty solid in any Flames games I've watched, could certainly have a worse 3rd pair/#7 dman then Stone.

Meloche isn't going anywhere. Until either Kylington returns (who knows when that will be) or we acquire another forward, Stone makes it a 23 man roster and Sutter will simply scratch 2 D-Men

Brett Ritchie should be waived WAY before Meloche. You need to pay better attention to my posts, I told you Stone & Meloche were both playing well and Milano wouldn't make the Team. Like give me some credit, my vision is good and I seem to be on to some of these things

Stone is having a late career resurgence and has been one of the best Flames players the last several months. He deserves a lot more credit and respect than he's been getting. He's very effective in the O-Zone and holds his own everywhere else. Not the best D-Zone Defender, but he makes up for it by contributing. He's the Most Loyal & Team Friendly guy we have and is by far my favorite Calgary Flame right now for sure. Great Signing. Meloche will stay up with the team as well for when Sutter wants a better Defensive D-Man in the line-up instead, exactly how @Gmonwy has it

Don't think people know how valuable Meloche is! he was really solid for the sharks and is a fantastic teammate and locker room guy. Grier made a huge mistake not resigning him and opting for Benning. If you try and sneak him down I promise multiple teams would jump on him so he stays in my opinion.
I would not be surprised to see Calgary use their overabundance of D to swing a deal and get a cheap forward at some point here. but this team is really well set for the next 2-4 years before Kadri and Huberdeau regress.

Maybe, but I'd much rather Kylington be Traded for a Forward and Ritchie Waived.

I don't care if they went to EDM either, as neither Ritchie or Kylington would be very big threats against CGY

Maybe Meloche wanted out, being the 5th Righty on the depth chart doesn't equal a lot of playing time (understanding that Weegs can play LD, but still) for a guy who got a long call-up last year with SJ playing near a whole year with MTL or something might be the best thing for his career.
