Maybe because it's a 1-way contract? If he spends the season in the AHL, $750k isn't such a great deal.

Yep, dude was invisible when he wasn't on Zegras's line. Zegras made Derek Grant look good last year.

Yep, he disappeared after the all star break. So did most of the team, but the guy did nothing when he wasn't with Z.
