Apparently not enough to lose to the Oilers last night.

And yet who won last night? Sure as hell wasn't Edmonton.

And Bourgault and 2 cap dumps and a late 1st round pick isn't landing you Jakob Chychrun. Can't see Chychrun heading to Edmonton without Broberg heading the other way.

So the 1st barely covers the 2 dumps you're sending to ARI then they're going to send you Chychrun for 1 prospect? I'd say your offer is extremely light.

I wouldn’t even consider Tyson Barrie a cap dump, he could probably get swapped for at least a 3rd so your looking at a first, a top 3 prospect, a third and a camp dump but could play his way to being worth something. I could probably still throw in prospect marcus Niemelainen for a sweetener but other than that I think it’s fine

Tyson Barrie is considered a cap dump around the league, You're not getting assets for him without attaching sweeteners to his contract. You'd need to at least attach a 2nd round pick to move Barrie.

Tyson Barrie has the same value as Mike Hoffman. Take that as you may.

As far as most of the league is concerned, he is a warm body with a paycheque.

I doubt Caps consider this, it’s a lateral move that doesn’t need to be made by Washington as Strome fills an actual need at C and trading him for Puljujarvi leaves a hole at 2C and leaves Puljujarvi buried somewhere on the wings. It’s not worthwhile for DC to create two problems when the trade doesn’t solve any existing ones.
