Robidas Island and Trade Deadline

Created by: TMLBRIAN
Team: 2022-23 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 19, 2022

Description
I like it!

Muzzin and Murray got sent to Robidas Island in the AGM. For those who haven't heard of it, it's kind of like Narnia, where people and cap hits disapear.

B level prospect for Reimer. Reasonable but not insane package for Chychrun. Same thing with the Horvat package. This assumes Van has not yet signed Horvat by the TDL. They can either flip Kerfoot + Holl or keep and sign them. I would value Kerfoot at a 2nd near the trade deadline and Holl as a 3rd. Leafs could also send those guys elsewhere and add the picks to the trade offer. So 1st, 2nd, 2x 3rds and Holmberg (NHL ready prospect) in that case.

Thoughts?

gross overpay for a dmen who never plays a full season, niemela alone could have a similar impact to chychrun. no deal, also the blue line needs a shutdown presence for rielly. not another offensive dmen

Vancouver isnt moving schenn. he is too valuable to them, theyd have to really fall off to consider moving their captain and best shutdown dmen

not enough for Reimer

Agreed. I think a B level prospect and a 2nd would cut it.

I would assume a 2nd or a prospect worth a 2nd would be fine.

I would definitely do 1st + Niemela + cap (Engvall or Kerfoot) for Horvat (50%) and Schenn - I had just used Niemela already for Chychrun :P

or just a 2nd. I think most SJ fans were asking for a 2nd during the offseason, but that was before they had to ditch Hill due to having too many goalies. Not entirely sure if his value increased or leafs are desperate or both. He has been playing great while SJ has been getting lit

See it still think it has to be more, Nimola is an ok prospect, that would not even get you horvat alone full cap

Niemela is a great prospect. I’d be happy with him and a first for Horvat
