Initial Creation Date: Oct. 21, 2022
Published: Oct. 21, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
FLA is in need of D with a C to spare.
COL is in need of a C with a D to spare.
Wouldn’t be a trade within the same division.
Both teams have cup aspirations.

There’s no doubt that there’s a deal to be made somewhere here.

BELOW ARE POTENTIAL TRADE FRAMEWORKS. Obviously there’s a pick or prospect needing to go one way or another but these would be the main center pieces.

Been tinkering with the idea of Lundell myself. Maybe a swap for Newhook & Kaut, slight downgrade on FLA's part centre-wise but gaining a young RW prospect and FLA sending Hornqvist back the other way, getting some cap space which would help them massively. Probably some other minor pieces involved for balance. Avs can then send Sammy G elsewhere or just trade JTC for cap space to accommodate Hornqvist.

Not really. He’s actually playing more on a more offensive team and giving the right chance to be the layer he should have always been. I’d say he stays at the 45-50 point pace for the next few years when girard is going to be a third pair d man stuck behind players better than him which is still a good thing for the Avs. But why khave to make a decision soon with the likely contracts of toews and byram. 4.5 million might be better spent than 6 million for someone who is not getting too minutes.

“Playing for a more offensive team” isn’t a legit rebuttal lol. Theres tons of cases of players moving to stronger offensive teams and their production not improving lol

But obviously it has increased his production. It’s been a little over a season with his productions staying at this pace and the avs offensive is better so if kadri has a significant increase why wouldn’t bennett

This conversation isn’t going anywhere.

You are making an argument based on a hypothetical rule of thumb that because he plays on a better offensive team = he’s sure to score more points

Vs

My stance that he’ll return to the mean based on facts and his actual career statistics

Your stance is based on a previous team and style of play and stats show on his current team he’s playing much better and it’s being proven. But you can continue to have your opinion and I can have mine. But statistically speaking bennett is much better than you presume.
