If anything, its a testament just to how good Bedard is. The team sucks but he still produces at a godly level. I hope the Ducks get him, not only because that would mean he is in a different conference, but also because a team with Bedard, McTavish, Terry, Zegras, Drysdale, Mintyukov, Zellweger, etc. would be very fun to watch.

Oh I think he is theres gonna be a team to pay a boatload just to get a run out of him

Like if Zito was winning to pay 5 1sts in a season yeah got to think a team down there gonna go hey lets try and win with Bedard before he gets drafted

Leafs might have someone here. He has scored 3 goals and 8 points in 16 games, among the KHL leaders for points by U20 prospects.

Nikita Grebyonkin is someone I could see come into the Leafs lineup as a bottom 6 player and thrive I love how his former team realized his potential and moved him to another KHL team to give him more ice time.

And this should really help his development and confidence as man through highlights and watching some of his games its worked wonders for him

Joe Miller is such a weird prospect. He has the production of a decent player, but doesn't immediately seem to fit the Leafs

Only signed to an AHL but definitely someone to watch, could see him and Raifi earn ELC next year.

Hoefenmayer is up to 16 points in 16 games

Agreed, not sure where he fits long term, but could be a solid AHL player for them down the road

If Hoefenmayer keeps this up, there is no way he doesn't walk away from this season without an ELC. I think Rifai is almost guaranteed a contract given his versatility and apparent impression on the organization. Lots of ice time with the Marlies and he's looked pretty good

The problem I have is this Dubas gave Douglas and McMann ELC's and both regressed. We dont got a lot of contract spots and my fear is we will be at 50 and in trouble again

I do agree we should look but rushing into it like last time could spell trouble.

You give these guys ELC because any team could sign them off an AHL deal. They turned Douglas into Connor Timmins and how in the world has Bobby McMann regressed? He has only played 4 games this year. He looked really good in the preseason, I’d argue Steeves and McMann were the two that stood out the most. Giving a 26 year old an ELC speaks to how valued Dubas and Co view McMann.

I fully expect Hoefenmayer and Raifi to join them, especially with an already week defensive pool

Very few "older" AHLer ever became difference makers or not that many get regular employment in the NHL. Same with so many 23 year old college grads. Good stats and good play in the the lesser leagues don't transfer to NHL abilities in many cases. Hey I wish any player success wherever, but the chances of finding an older gem.....minimal.
