Big picture i think this is all reasonable but the picks you suggest might be down a round or so

Leafs will not do the 2nd trade, 1st one is considerable with Amirov's health

Tbh w some players I agree but let’s say Sheary is on a 50p pace … currently on pace for 27goals. He might get more. Mojo idc what we get anything is better than nothing. Same goes w Eller.

Maybe. Jensen has been pretty elite this year and last. I’d argue him or Orlov are our best D. Sandin for Jensen looks bad but Leafs need to make some progress and they have a great prospect that’s NHL ready to replace him.

Sandin is a regular on the leafs, they can get someone more reliable then Jensen

I agree. We have a bunch of good UFA that we can get great draft picks for in a great draft.

Great picks might be a bit strong, but probably some decent ones. Would be a really good bit of business if the caps could find some sucker to take carlson.

If I’m edmonton I’m saying Barrie for Carlson + assets. Barrie’s contract is pretty bad, but Carlson’s is way worse.

Idk Carlson is a 60-70p player. He’s not great a D but his numbers on O are amazing

At 5 on 5 he’s like a 40 point guy that’s brutal defensively. On the powerplay he’s able to get the puck on the left side of the ice for ovechkin to hammer. I’m just not impressed with his game.

One Dimensional is a better smarter way to say that. Guys that score 60-70 points every year are pretty solid. Especially defenders

Okay put it this way: he’s good at some things, but i do not think he helps an NHL team win hockey games. He should be a guy that plays sheltered minutes at even strength, and a ton on the PP. not a first pair guy.

honestly as caps fans i think we overexaggerate how bad carlson is defensivley. he doesnt suck. he just doesnt make the best choices.
