Replacing Larkin with Horvat seems redundant. The goal should be to keep Larkin and add Horvat. If Yzerman trades prospects or young players it's more likely to be players who Holland drafted.

I believe so, Rumor has it that Yzerman really doesn't want to go $9,000,000+ with Larkin, So his other choice would be to offer slightly more money at a lesser term for Horvat as a potential replacement. But like i said it's just mere speculation right now. I don't see Detroit making the playoffs. So pursuing horvat probably won't happen.

I totally agree with you, I'd rather just resign our Captain and still pursue Horvat as our 2C and move Copp to wing where he belongs. Kasper would make at least a solid 3C for the time being.
