Why are we trading a young cost controlled, team controlled player in Sandin for a pending UFA in Soucy? Soucy would be fine, but not at the expense for Sandin.

I'm not that high on Sandin

You can only develop so far when you can't skate .. but a 3rd pairing guy with good hands and shot for PP2 is fine .. to me I would trade Sandin before everyone else figures it out at nhl level and we can't get much for him.

I just don't think Sandin can play RD. He can't handle speed to the outside and it's starting to demoralize him. Leafs are putting him in a place to fail.
