When Matheson is Back

Created by: Cabbie91
Team: 2022-23 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 10, 2022
Published: Nov. 10, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I didn't think this would be the case but the kids have been way too good to send to Laval, their game is growing with every shift under Marty. Wideman is the odd man out when Matheson comes back and I truly think everyone stays.

I think you roll the 3 D pairs until special teams come into play, a Veteran with each kid.

Get Slafkovsky his 12 minutes a night and time on the PP.

I like Wideman but he's been brutal this year
I think Matheson-Savard would be the first pairing
Guhle-Harris the 2nd pairing
Eddy-Xhekaj the 3rd pairing

I think you have to play Matheson on the right side of the 1st pairing. I would go

Guhle-Matheson
Harris-Savard
Edmundson-Xhekaj

Eddy has been brutal so far and Guhle is our best D man currently so there is no reason to move Guhle off the fist pairing.

I think Eddy's been awesome. Leads the team in blocks since his return and played more minutes on the PK than anybody. Agree to disagree

I agree. Math can play the right and Harris has not been good on the right.

Eddy has done a good job of hitting and blocking shots... But he's had 1 or 2 glaringly bad giveaways in each game since his return.

It's probably just a bit of rust. It takes players a while to find their groove. Let's see where he is at game 10.

Eddy looks like he is still not 100%, he is making some very bad plays that lead to turnovers and his skating is not what we have seen from him in previous years.
