he's one of those guys that is considered untradeable just for the value he brings with his contract and play to a contending team. Of course he's not a superstar so he could be acquired for a massive overpay, but I'm not sure what it would be.

Generally two contending teams in the same division making trades is not the best idea

A hell of a lot more than that, Look at what Tampa gave up for Hagel more than Sandin and Robertson that's for sure.

At the least TOR 1st 2023 and TOR 2nd 2024, and even then Im not sure they're doing it.

Tampa is still in win now mode. Hagel's contract vs production is far too valuable to consider trading.

It would have to be such a ridiculous overpay, that it would be far from worth it.

Chicago wasn't being competitive and they still got 2 1sts for Hagel.
For Tampa to make this today, it would take a quality replacement roster player, 2x 1sts, and good prospect(s). -- at which point, you're better off looking for a similar style player on a team no competing to bring the price wayyy down.
