The problem is the team being a freakin hospital. Just doesn’t seem like they’ll get insanely hot until they get players back from injuries

caps need a play maker, Carlson has not been great but for the leafs putting him on pp1 with Matthews is going to score a lot of goals. the capitals offense is not going to get any better until either they make a trade for a dynamic player or someone steps up and takes that role

Would be a very interesting trade to see for sure. Caps will be a much better team when Wilson gets back though. That hustle and physicality sort of seems to be missed.

Toronto wouldn’t make that deal for Carlson. Dallas and NY wouldn’t want Eller or Hathaway at any price tbh. They just don’t fill a need for either team.
