I cannot see Vegas taking Tomas Plekanec. While that is too much for Duchene, I think Joe Sakic is living in a bit of a fantasy world when it comes to realistically valuing his players. He was reported offered at least 2 great deals at the trade deadline and balked at both of them. I suspect, based only on his actions so far, Sakic does not trade Duchene unless it's a deal that includes him picking in the top 3 of this year's draft.

Totally delusional. But Carolina could afford to give him what he needs. They have an abundance of young nhl D men and D prospects. Luckily for Sakic Carolina needs a #1 center, he's not elite but he's better than what they have
