No way will Anaheim make that trade. Sabres fans have Bailey way overvalued. He's worth a 4th round pick at best.

Bailey is not near good enough for Montour. Montour would cost Nylander or it isn't worth it for ANA.

I'm assuming Nylander +++ given his so/so first year in the AHL.

Add to that the fact that Anaheim has 2 of it's top 4 dmen on LTIR to start next season, and could potentially lose another in expansion.

Bailey is a future top 6 player. You dont see many of those going for 4th round picks

I think that there is not a snowball chance in hell that we make a deal with the Ducks unless it is for one of the LTIR D man and then I think it would be too costly for the Sabres.

I actually think that the non Sabres fans have it wrong about Bailey. If you watched every Sabres game last year you would see the development in this 21 year old. The kid has the tool set that you want in today's NHL. He is quick and fast.... is a very hard nosed tough.... what he needs to do is figure out how to use the speed and quickness as it relates to the NHL.... needs to figure out the angles. The kid has shown he improves each year at the level he played the previous year. The tool box and willingness to put in the work and effort are there now we have to see if his game will develop at the NHL level. Closer to a top 6 then he is to a 4th rounder.

Not wild about signing Sharp, Gionta & Daley as I want to get younger with this team.

If you think Bailey is a top 6 you are crazy. he is no more than a good AHL player at this point and time is running out on his chances.

He is 21 years old. not everyone reaches their top piont that young. players do need development yes even top 6 fowards. and how is he running out of chances?
