Description
Krebs is better off playing 1C in Rochester with more ice-time and on PP1 as well.

Probably the last chance for Mittelstadt with other linemates.

Tolvanen - Mitts - Asplund/Okposo/Jost or maybe even call Weissbach or Rousek from Rochester if there are injuries again.

I like your line up.
Getting Reilly would be a great move.
Boston should really keep him to give them depth for a run to the cup.

"Krebs is better off playing 1C in Rochester with more ice-time and on PP1 as well."
Completely agree, he seems to have lost his confidence from last year.
He is only 21 and this is already his fourth NHL season.
Who in their right mind has a 17 or 18 yo playing against bigger and stronger players.

"Probably the last chance for Mittelstadt with other line mates."
Casey is doing ok, he is still on pace for about 50 pts and 20 goals.
He may be best suited for third line activity.

"Tolvanen - Mitts - Asplund/Okposo/Jost or maybe even call Weissbach or Rousek from Rochester if there are injuries again."
Casey had developed decent chemistry playing with Tage and Rasmus to close out the 20-21 season.
Replace Tage with Olofsson for Asplund-Mittelstadt-Olofsson as a third or second line.

Peterka-Cozens-Quinn and
Girgenson-Jost-Okposo/Hinostroza

The line up above presumes the Sabres do not make any trades.

Not seeing the Preds give up on Tolvanen like that. He seems to have defense figured out and is now just putting it all together.

Who knows, I've discussed trading Tolvanen with three different Preds fans on different sites and they said it's entirely possible.

Casey has three points in 19 games in ES, almost all of his points on PP, it's not all right. Olofsson + Mittelstadt don't work together and I see it every game.

Is there a change in scoring that PP points are worthless?
TBH, one should praise a PP specialist as it punishes a team for taking penalties.
Punishing a team for taking penalties will cause them to reconsider stopping scoring chances or being too physical.
I guess we need to down grade Ovechkin as 9 of his 17 pts come from the PP.
Points and goals count the same, there is not a special NHL award for most EVS pts or goals.

Let me close, Casey and Victor are the most likely trade candidates as the prospect cupboard is full of centers and wingers.
For now they are the best options available as Krebs is doing nothing, Okposo is injured, Hinostroza has cooled off.

Let me close, we completely agree on the line up, Reilly and your comments above except on Casey.
Let's just agree to disagree on him as his EVS scoring was much better last year.
EDIT
I should have checked before closing Marchand and Lehkonen EVS v PP pts are 5-10 and 4-10 ytd respectively, so lets take them out of the line up as well?

How is Mittelstadt looking now?
The Sabres missed the playoffs by one victory, it will be better next even if they do not make a splash as Quinn, Peterka, and Power will take a step forward.
Over the past 12 games the Sabres are 9-2-1,
Tuch has 5 go-8 as +6
Skinner has 4 go-6as +6
Mittelstadt has 5go-12as +8
Small sample but if you have been watching he is the first forward back on the back check.
Any way we had a great conversation last year and we will have many more.
