Completely agree. Beyond what we have on the roster, our top 3 D prospects are all LHD and we may be losing Marshall Warren as a college UFA because of it. LD is probably the last position we need to add at right now.

I'm also of the belief that we will send Dumba to the first team to give us positive value for him. Guerin shopped him in the offseason and nobody was interested. It's clear he's not coming back. At this point it's either a trade or he walks. Our beat writer thinks Guerin would even take a lateral move at this point.

We can't really take on money for next year without money going the other way (Dumba is a pending UFA) so taking Barrie's $4.5 million isn't happening. Also, Dumba's roster spot is pretty much already spoken for. Brock Faber is likely jumping right in once his college season wraps up this spring.

I'd accept that deal very quickly too. I don't think Broberg is the right prospect from either team's perspective though. The prospect I'd want is from EDM Bourgault (mostly as an insult to injury type of thing, because I think it would be funny).
