Schenn isn't getting 2 million, Kuzmenko isn't a 7 million dollar player after 1 season id probably say anywhere from 5-6.25m max

I would imagine his agent would immediately use Kaprizov's 9x5 as a comparable.

CHI isn't in the market for a top 4 / top 6 d man that makes 6 M and is of the ride age of 30 +

Chicago is in the market for draft picks and prospects. They get a second round pick, a good prospect in Wolanin and they only have to take on one year of Myers contract.

Wouldn't call him a good prospect. But I feel that ARI probably would accept this, especially if they get to trade Jacob C.

Kaprizov single handedly reinvigorated a franchise and is by far the best player on his team by far. Kuzmenko hasn't had that same type of success and he is not a top-5 player on this team.

He is a point per game so far. I’d say he has easily been a top 5 player on our team this season. No reason why Kuzmenko would take half of what Kaprizov got

lol. Wolanin IS NOT a prospect, and he isn't very good either. He has zero trade value. So, essentially you are paying CHI a 2nd round pick to take on $6m in dumped salary, and take up a roster spot in CHI that would be much better suited for our RHD prospects that have serious NHL ambitions. Unless CHI moves Jones and/or Murphy and just want a veteran that can help them over the cap floor and they aren't so concerned with being properly compensated for the cap dump, I just don't see this being realistic in the least bit.

There is a massive difference between arguably being top-5 on your team and decidedly carrying the entire organization on your back. Pettersson has been Hart/Selke caliber and is carrying the team.

Kuzmenko will probably get more than half of what Kaprisov got but they are not great comparables.

Do i think he will get what Kaprizov got? No, but if I am Kuzmenko's agent, I am immediately going to use Kaprizov's contract as a comparable
