Mike Grier isn't eating $12,500,000 x 5 yrs on Erik Karlsson, For that worthless pieces. Not even close.

I would agree with you, but I don't know how sustainable Karlsson's current pace is at 32 years old. Also, Buffalo is one of the few teams where SJ doesn't really have to retain much. Karlsson's NMC complicates it all too. Lots of young swedes on this team, would he be open to mentoring a team on the come up?

You're also getting a starting goaltender but I get your stance. Realistically, where would Kulich slot into the line up in the next 5 seasons anyways? Cozens, Thompson, Krebs, Savoie, Mittelstadt all can play center.

He's playing RW in Rochester and having a very good start. He might not be as offensively gifted as JJ Peterka but they play very similar games

Okay. Tuch, Peterka, Quinn already in the top 9. Where does he fit there?

Krebs needs to play C, he's bad at LW, Mitts is just bad right now, I think Savoie takes his spot next year and Mitts isn't a 4th L C, his FO are brutal.

Peterka plays LW and Peterka and Quinn play on the same line.

Buffalo pass, we don't trade our 1st without protected, and almost sure we don't trade Kulich, he is very much needed for us in terms of playing style.

He might move especially since Buffalo will be closer to competing than the sharks, but with the cap going up Karlssons contract is going to look better and better (from bad to okey to decent). I also know that no one can know how his future will go, but he is a norris caliber defenseman, and I don't think that package would be enough to purchase our best player.
