It doesn't make a ton of sense from the Panthers' end, IMO - Lundell is young, cost-controlled, and very good - I get that you'd want help on D, but sacrificing him just so you can turn the 4x$10M left on Bob's deal into 5x$9.5M of Karlsson & Reimer (who you'll need to replace this summer anyways) doesn't seem like a great use of assets.

As good as EK65 has been this year like Ekblad he is still pretty injury prone. I think with their open cap space next year they should go after a top 4LD who is defensively reliable instead
