Nick Paul seems very out of place in terms of value per dollar. Lots of players making under 1m can bring what he brings.

clearly you havent watched paul or statny play thos year.if you think they are on the same level.

Paul will come down to earth, his production is almost definitely unsustainable. Stastny, meanwhile, has excellent defensive impact.

Paul is better than Stastny. ELC's don't count. That leaves about 5 better options, none of which have the size of Paul, which could be viewed as an extra asset

I'm gonna ignore the size comment because valuing size is how Maveric Lamoureux gets drafted above Brad Lambert and Seamus Casey

I'm a Wings fan which is why Seider (and Larkin honestly as I believe he is the perfect 2C on a contending team) is on the list. I also didn't set rules stating "No ELC" or "no RFA / contract extensions." I was simply putting together that I think would be a contender for to win it all this year.

Nick Paul was the last member thrown in. I had Duclair in there as a pure sniper with Bergy covering his defensive weakness, Kuzmenko as a flash in the pan, as well as Kyrou for a bit. McDavid, CMac, Lindholm, etc. and a bunch of others that shifted in and out to get it close to the cap. Obviously putting the roster together I was going to miss someone.

I totally agree size is not that helpful, I just said it could be an extra asset.
