Knies and Niemela would have to be included for the Canucks to even consider this. Not taking Kerfoot and a bunch of scraps for our best D man, our captain, and a winger on a great contract.

A good counter offer for both sides is:

Garland for 2024 2nd + Kerfoot

Hardly cap compliant is it? Schenn isn't replacing any Leaf RHD, but as 7th guy, he'd be OK. Horvat would be nice, thought the Leafs are fine at centre. Leafs don't want Garland's contract next season.
Please, pretty please Vancouver fans. Can't Horvat be traded to team with needs a centre. Or Garland trading to a team that needs a RWer. There are 31 trade partners for the Canucks not just the Leafs.

Come on, Garland isn't even close to being on a great contract.

I really don't see the Canucks making this trade. Of what value is Kerfoot/Engvall to them?
I believe this offer would be blown out of the water by any other interested GM.

Not sure why are you targeting Canucks fans. I don't think anybody wants anything to do with a Leafs trade

One of the best 5v5 producers in the league last year. He has 4 years left on his deal. No reason to trade him when his value is low. His AAV isn't even that high
