No, I dont think so.

How many goalies in the past 20 years have gotten a 1st? 2 or 3?

He's had 2 solid years and even those were not super great

Kemuper, Raanta, Schinder to name 3 off the top of my head, Demko has been a top 10 goalie in the leauge these past years, he was top 3 in GSP last year, and was anywhere from 6-12 in GSAE depending on the model used, Vancouver has no reason to trade a great goalie on a great contract for scraps

There were like 4 other parts in that raanta trade. It really was a Stepan trade

A 1st for a goalie is not scraps. This site is broken

Word everywhere is the team is being blown up. And again he's had 2 solid years. He isn't Vasilevskiy

It was Raanta , Stepan for 7th ova and Deangleo, Stepan was good but didn't have 7th and a blue-chip prospect value, once again Kempuer was a ufa and had worst stats and got more than this, cap space is king right now in the league, a young top 5 goalie making 5mill x 3 years is a steal of a contract which also adds to his value, He finished 7th in vezina voting last year which Vasilevskiy finshed 5th, The team might be blown up but every where has stated we have 3 untouchable's, Demko, Hughes, Pettersson, There is simply no reason for Vancouver to make this trade.

We probably won't get Demko for that. He had two good seasons in a row with a weak Canucks defense. He is not old and has a good contract.

I'm 100% against trading a first for a goalie.
Goalies are voodoo.
I'd rather just give Varlamov a 2 year "blank cheque" in July.
At least if that fails it's only money.

Stephan was worth a 2nd in 2020 after 3 years of decline, so I would mostly disagree with your first sentence
