VAN would have to give up a LOT more than just Boeser to get one of the Caps best fowards and a good 3C. Caps aren't doing this.

Hate it for Washington, just no reason to give up on Mantha when he's performing decently despite being stapled to Eller and getting buried on the 3rd line. I think people are going to put far too much stock into Friedman's musings that perhaps that could work (his excerpt from 32 thoughts makes me think he's just spit-balling like everyone here), especially when I don't see Washington taking on more salary when they have so many FAs to sign this year.
