Honestly this isn't that serious. This is just me being obscenely angry at Batherson's lack of effort and not wanting him around the team anyways, so my brain went to "trade him, not DeBrincat" and I wanted to see if there was some way to make this work. I just put some random stuff for the return, I don't really care to argue semantics about random picks and prospects going one way or another

I really don't like this deal

Batherson has 4 years left after this one on his bargain deal, Chychrun only has 2

I don't find that Batherson looks worse than other Sens players. They all look messy in this DJ (non) system

Batherson doesn't have Mark Stone natural defense awareness. He needs to execute in a system/structure. He is lost in DJ's mess.

Alex DeBrincat is the same. Compare his defensive stats this year vs just last year.

No need to scapegoat Batherson.

I would do :

DeBrincat + Zaitsev + Thomson + 2nd
