      Burroughs provides nothing of value.

Would be more interested in Schenn.

literally the same player, except Schenn has a stanley cup pedigree and a few hundred more games, functionally, the same. Both said to be great leaders and low event stay at home defencemen who can fight. But understandable. Its more burroughs to any team, not just the Rags

In place of Knies and a 1st, yes. Including the 1st, no. If that's what it takes to get Horvat, you'll get a better offer from another team.

Even if that 2nd was going With Boeser, I doubt CGY, or anybody, wants that cap. Burroughs is an 8d, maybe 1 mid pick. Schenn will get a 2nd+. Rathbone is a 7d, not getting a Grans. Nobody is taking on your JTM.

No, I would value them equally. I don’t think the Leafs are in any position to give up a 23 1st in any deal for a rental. Either way, Van will get a better deal than Toronto can offer for Horvat.
