Wait too much recency bias in this

Even tho they arent having good season, guys like Ellis and OEL deserve to be AT LEAST top 10 and O'Reilly should be top 5

Kadri and Kreider, had great seasons last year but you cant put them that high based on one year. And they arent in the good spot this year to replicate that one year.

If OEL was drafted by a team like Dallas or the isles, he would still be a very capable top4 defensemen today. He got overplayed in Arizona, due to them not having any other reliable defensemen and his body worned down on him. This is a common trend amongst defenseman. Those who play 23+ minutes per game seem to have a MASSIVE decline once they turn 30. That was unfortunatly the case fpr a guy like OEL.

I agree. If you made this list before last year ROR would have been much higher. OEL was considered an excellent defense man in Arizona but clearly he isn't the same guy anymore. That has to balance out
