Edmonton gets needed Cup experienced / tough 2nd pairing D. Habs take salary cap dump Pullijarvi plus Habs get a top Quebec near NHL ready Fwd prospect. Edmonton keeps its 1st in 2023. MSL can try reclamation project with Pullijarvi. Edmundson wants to win another Cup and he’s not a rental.

I can't see EDM giving up Bourgault in this deal, esp with the risk of injury that Edmunson brings.

I agree with you that I don't see Edmonton want to trade Bourgault but he would be the perfect fit for Hughes / Gorton player style that they wanted to add.

Edmonton would probably need to sacrifice him to obtain something maybe not for mtl player but maybe to get a Boeser or Kane maybe ?

Agreed, he'd be a perfect fit in MTL, but I don't think they have the piece EDM needs to secure him. If he's traded it's in a deal for a guy like Chychrun. They need to shore up the D before going after more O. Besides, I think that team is being mismanaged. A guy like Holloway needs a longer look in the top 6.

Edmonton needs D first before it needs Boeser or P Kane. And those 2 are $$ vs the cap even at the trade deadline given that Edmonton doesn't have much room / LTIR.

Maybe an trade Anderson with Edmunson could a base trade ? Mtl would probably need to received a bad contract from Edmonton to be fair with the cap and Edmundson could be retain to help also.
