I still think if they can unload Anderson and a team is offering 1st rounder +, they should jump all over that as well.

Trade value isn't bad, but I just don't see Dallas parting with any of Bourque, Johnston, or Stankoven. With the money they have on the books for the next few years, they're going to need guys on cheap, ELC's to produce. Bourque is one of those guys. You'd likely be better off targeting someone like Thomas Harley, Lian Bichsel, or future picks than you would any of the forward trio

I think Bourgault and a 2nd is too high. But am intrigued. I’d counter Bourgault and a 4th in hopes of another counter offer. Bourgault is the Oilers top prospect and highly regarded.

Bourgault and a 3rd for Edmundson and $500’000 retained I settle on.

This trade would require EDM having money out still though. A certain $3M contract would have to find a fresh start and this may work.
