You do understand Sharangovich just had a kid and Fitz's philosophy is not to trade for someone mid year with a family, I would imagine that carries over to not wanting to deal someone with a family.

If McCann is our long term 3C, I dig it. His underlyings are excellent and that's not a huge price to pay for that upgrade.

In most cases, Devils fans rate Devils players higher than other fans.

Sharangovich is the exception. Kind of like Hischier a couple of years ago.

To be frank as much as I like Sharangovich I don’t think he’s fitting as well as he was earlier in his career. I’m not calling for him to be traded at all but imo McCann is kind of what you want Sharangovich to be. A good middle 6 player that can play both wing and center and can pot in at least 20 a season. Not to mention McCann isn’t much older and is cost controlled for 5 years.



Curious to hear your reasoning. I started it as a 1 for 1 but then felt because McCann is cost controlled for 5 years and has proven more he would cost more. Maybe drop the pick entirely?

But it would this season, that would be the bigger point. I don't see Fitz making any kind of move of a family guy during a season per his personal views.

I don't see why we would be adding to Sharangovich to get McCann.
