I'm not sure about that. San Jose can have a decent third pairing defenceman for $2.5 million in real money.

Nashville can't be giving up any good prospects and young guys like in this Debrincat trade. Watch a few games of ours and you'll see that we are just abysmal, and this trade would just drive us into a deeper hole.

Depends how much they sell at the deadline and if they keep Meier. Don’t think that matters much though, I would think they ask for a 2nd for taking that aav.

That does not matter. Cap space is currency in this league. SJ or anyone is not giving you a discount to dump your problems

In this case they would want Zaitsev on their team. A decent bottom pairing guy for $2.5 million when its nearly impossible to trade for defenceman.
